Let me cc the world….
Coaches, Please understand a couple of things:
- I am just one person managing all of FLL in Northern California as a volunteer
- I work full time at a demanding job (I am a senior technical program manager) where I travel regularly/frequently
- Mark, who can answer the phone during the workday is not involved directly in NorCal FLL and can’t really help you with your team status other than to suggest sending me an email
- Sending me multiple emails (sometimes less than a day in between) is not helpful
- Sending me multiple emails with all of my email addresses on cc is not helpful
- Asking me to edit your jotform and upload your updated roster or fix your issue is not helpful
There are nearly 600 of you and only 1 of me. I am human and must admit that I can get quite cranky to those that cc the world or send ever-increasing dire messages.
And no, I am not going to approve your team that missed the September 30th deadline into the Round 1 registration. While I appreciate the sincerity of your heartfelt messages, I am not going to budge.
I am trying to work through all of the those that had completed their pre-reqs but possibly had a minor error to fix. I won’t open registration until these at least have been re-looked at this week. There are 110 teams in this situation and it is highly detailed and time consuming to go back through and confirm that the error was corrected and frankly it is hard to do more than a handful before I have to take a break – it is not fun nor rewarding work to say the least. [I spent the entire weekend doing nearly nothing else just to get through the teams that waited until the last 3 days to submit their pre-reqs.]
And I only have a few hours each evening and have to fit not just FLL in that time.
So, please be patient. There are now 1300 unread emails to jillw or fll and nearly 500 in teaminfo. I have to balance answering your email about when I will get to reviewing your team’s status with actually getting through the reviews.
Jill
