Exciting changes in progress!
Playing at Learning has changes in progress on several fronts.
- Refresh of all websites – including norcalfll.org, playingatlearning.org. Take a look and provide feedback!
- Adding staff! We have 2 open positions that we are recruiting for:
- FLL Program Manager (half time position) – description coming soon
- AmeriCorps VISTA (full time position) – more info
- New staffers on board (or soon to be):
- Rajiv, interim Executive Director
- Hsuen, Logistics and Operations Manager
With regards to NorCal FIRST LEGO League, we are revisiting how tournament registration is handled, working on developing Championship event planning committees among other topics. Overall at Playing At Learning, we have kicked off 3 teams focused on the following main areas. If you want to be involved – let us know.
- Capacity (related to volunteer management, tournament hosts/locations, and coach/mentor support)
- Diversity (related to developing long term, sustainable partnerships focused on groups serving under-represented and under-served youth)
- Publicity (related to increasing name recognition for Playing At Learning and FIRST programs in Northern California to aid efforts 1 & 2 above).
