SUMMARY:2017 Sacramento Scrimmage Announcement
DESCRIPTION:Dear FLL Team Managers and Coaches\,\n\nThunderbots (partnering
  with Asian Pacific Islander American Public Affairs Association) is now a
 ccepting applications for the FLL Scrimmage on Sunday\, Oct 29. The Scrimm
 age will run from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 4000 Truxel Road\, Suite 3\, 
 Sacramento\, CA 95834.\nThe scrimmage is a practice opportunity for the qu
 alifying tournaments in November. We will be conducting matches under tour
 nament conditions-matches will run for 2 1/2 minutes and will be scored by
  referees according to FLL rules. We’ll have pit tables set up where you
  can work on your robot. You’ll have the chance to run your robot on dif
 ferent fields and to see how other teams approach the missions. Don’t wo
 rry if you can only attempt a couple missions or your missions don’t wor
 k. Lots of teams will be like that\, and your robot’s scrimmage scores d
 o not count towards the awards given at the November tournament. Also ther
 e is no judging of robot design\, the research project\, or core values at
  the scrimmage. The scrimmage schedule will be announced at the venue. We 
 expect to have enough time for teams to run at least 2 to 3 matches.\nTo a
 pply for a slot\, please fill out the 2017 Scrimmage Registration Form by 
 October 27. Our capacity is limited to 12 teams right now. If more teams a
 pply\, then we will give preference for rookie teams. We also may open add
 itional slots.\nThere will be a $20 registration fee for the scrimmage\, t
 o cover expenses of running the event. Payments are due at the venue.\n\nF
