FIRST has joined forces with Business Models Inc., an international innovation strategy firm, to pilot this workshop to a small group of FIRST teams. Playing At Learning is excited to support this pilot here in the hub of innovation, Silicon Valley.
The workshop will help the team learn how to think in a revolutionary way that can be applied when you design and ideate. You will work in a small group to apply skills learned to a set of activities specially designed by DB Schenker, a global transportation and logistics service provider. You will gain an understanding of how this groundbreaking thinking can be applied to high-tech, other complex industries…and yes, your own team’s work.
Your workshop journey will include learning these tools:
- Empathy Map to understand the thoughts and feelings of your customer.
- Customer Journey of insights into how a customer experiences a problem.
- Value Proposition of the pains and gains (ambitions) of your customers
- Business Model to understand your business in a straightforward way using 9 building blocks.
Workshop Logistics:
- No Cost – all materials are provided
- Sunday 1/21, 1pm – 4pm
- @ The Play Space – 2215 Oakland Road, Suite B, San Jose, CA 95131
- Each team needs to bring 6 or 7 students and 1 or 2 adult coach/mentor
